We deliver all parts of the value chain ourselves from design, production in our factories, logistics through our central warehouses in Norway and Poland to sales and delivery of complete solutions to schools, health institutions, industrial buildings, cruise ships, navy vessels, offshore wind, and many other segments.
We are now looking for a Head of Insights & Analytics for a newly created position.
As Head of Insights & Analytics you will be an internal visionary and advisor towards both the group leadership team and business units in different countries.
As a group, we are now ready to accelerate the digital transformation and take the next steps to become truly data-driven. We believe continuous development is essential. As a recent step forward most of our systems are now integrated into our recently developed data platform. We are in an early phase regarding the use of the new opportunities provided by this platform. Azure and Power-BI are the main technologies in the platform and are providing us the foundation for better use of self-service, advanced analytics and machine learning.
Primary responsibilities:
- Anticipate business needs and monitor technical trends. Recommend which ones are both realistic and beneficial for Glamox to implement.
- Act as primary liaison to business stakeholders and engage with management to understand business objectives and needs as well as to advise on solution and approach.
- Articulate the domain vision, strategy and roadmap. Prioritize and plan initatives based on overall group strategy and business outcome.
- Facilitate the process of needs mapping, document dependencies and requirements, manage the backlog and oversee the entire development process from specification to benefit realization. Continuously evaluate and refine the development process to improve efficiency and benefit realization.
- Lead, coach and motivate the Insights and Analytics team who have competence within analytics, business intelligence, data engineering and data science.
- Design viable data architectures, and develop and operationalize data products (reports, dashboards, machine learning model, etc.).
- Plan and facilitate training for the organization. Ensure efficient use and benefit realization for sales, production, procurement and logistics.
- Identify data quality issues and suggest mitigating actions.
Desired skills
- Good understanding of business needs and technological trends as well as a visionary approach.
- Solid experience from enabling business outcomes, ideally from an enterprise environment.
- High domain knowledge within analytics, able to act as an inspiration and mentor for the organization within this area.
- Strong leadership and communication skills. Able to navigate well in a multi-cultural matrix organization.
- It is an advantage if you have operational experience from self-service analytics, in particular Power BI and cloud solutions like Azure, AWS and / or Google Cloud.
- You probably have a relevant higher education, for example a Master’s degree within finance or IT, but experience can compensate for lack of formal education
- Analytical, structured, self-motivated and a team player with high integrity.
- Fluent English, both written and orally.
The position reports to the Group CIO.
Job location: Modern centrally located offices in Oslo or Molde.
