Product Engineer, Glamox Production Molde

We are now looking for a Product Engineer for the technical department at Glamox Production Molde. As a Product Engineer, you will be part of a team that is responsible for all the product families that we produce in Molde. This is a central and exciting role in the organization where you will be involved in the development and production of the products as well as providing support to our sales units around the world. 

These are exciting times in the lighting industry where digitalisation and sustainability are central to the development of both products and production processes. Glamox in Molde is central to this development, where in addition to the production unit, we also have several other group functions such as IT, finance, product development, marketing, and sales.

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Product follow-up: Responsibility for production documentation on own product families. This entails, among other things, continuous upgrades, changes and development in close cooperation with sales, production, purchasing and the laboratory. 
  • Production follow-up: Help ensure that production receives the necessary documentation, expertise and practical solutions to ensure good flow and follow through. 
  • Technical sales support: Be the factory's point of contact with our sales channels / sellers. This involves answering technical questions, providing technical support for sales and assisting with the facilitation and development of the different products. 

 

Desired qualifications 

  • Engineer or equivalent relevant technical education. Experience can compensate for a lack of formal qualifications. Prefer experience or background in electrical / electronics. 
  • Experience with similar tasks from an industrial environment is desirable 
  • Advantageous if you have experience with 3D modeling and 2D drawing (we use Solid Works). 
  • Good computer skills 
  • Fluency in both spoken and written Norwegian and English.
