The International School of Krakow was established in 1993 in Kraków. The school is a member of the Central and Eastern European Schools Association and competes with schools across Central and Eastern Europe. It is accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

In 2006, the school moved to a new campus in Lusina with financial support from the United States Embassy in Poland.

The school is located on a gated 1.25-hectare campus in the suburbs of Lusina, about 20 minutes from the center of Kraków. The grounds feature park benches, basketball courts, and a soccer field. The school also includes a library, a multipurpose hall, a sports facility, a dining hall, and a computer lab.

Modern luminaires from the Moderna family were used in the classrooms, providing exceptional light uniformity and eliminating glare, allowing children to learn in comfortable conditions. The entire school was also equipped with efficient linear fixtures and modern downlight lighting. Reliable emergency lighting ensures appropriate safety.
