Since 2012, the award has identified, showcased and celebrated significant design trends, recognising outstanding achievements each year in product design, communication design, and architecture.

The award was presented at a ceremony on 6 February 2026 during the Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt. It was accepted by Sabrina Dittmann, Regional Marketing Manager – Central Europe, and Joachim Øwre Israelsbakk, Product Manager for Industrial and Outdoor Lighting.
