Photometry is the science of the measurement of light, in terms of its perceived brightness to the human eye.

Our luminaires are tested using rotating mirror photometers. This device keeps a tested luminaire stationary and at a sufficient distance from the photocell, so that the luminaire can be considered a point source. Rotating mirror photometers use a motorised system and a mirror that directs the light that is radiated from the luminaire in all directions to the distant photocell. From the photometric data, it is possible to produce light-technical data according to the utilised standards and applications.
The data serves as basis for lighting calculation programs that calculate the light values for entire rooms fitted with diverse luminaires. This way, exact illumination design plans can be prepared.
All photometry is executed according to the regulations and guidelines of the CIE (the International Lighting Commission) and the EN 13032 standard.
