We are now looking for a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team of Product Developers.
As a Product Developer Engineer at Glamox, you will be responsible for developing professional luminaires from concept to production-ready solutions. You will be part of the R&D Department within our Professional Building Solutions (PBS) Division, collaborating closely with industrial designers, our in-house factories, laboratories, and lighting controls team.

Your responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Develop and refine mechanical designs for professional lighting products
  • Ensure alignment with Glamox strategy, sustainability goals and design principles
  • Collaborate across disciplines to balance user needs, cost targets, timelines, and technical feasibility.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, market trends and customer needs
  • Ensure seamless integration of mechanics, optics, electronics and control systems.
  • Build prototypes, test concepts, and support key technical decisions
  • Prepare technical documentation for tool specification and production handover

Your experience and qualifications may look like:

  • BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Electrical Engineering, or similar (Relevant experience may compensate for formal education)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in 3D CAD modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, SolidEdge or similar)
  • Experience in technical 2D drafting, tolerance setting and PDM systems is an advantage
  • Cross-functional experience in mechanical-electrical development is a plus
  • Knowledge of materials and production methods (plastic, aluminum, etc.)
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken — proficiency in a Scandinavian language is a plus
