Purpose of Role

  • To powder paint semi-finished metalwork parts

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform required quality checks including 1st piece, in process and final inspections.
  • Load parts correctly onto line for maximum capacity / unload and palletise painted parts
  • Change hanging patterns as needed
  • Apply powder to parts on the conveyor line, using electrostatic paint gun
  • Troubleshoot process as needed

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years Powder Coating experience
  • A good understanding of manufacturing and associated techniques (5S/Lean) or ability to learn quickly
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi task
  • Effective time management
  • Be physically fit
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work on own or as part of a team

Qualification(s)

  • GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings would be an advantage.

  • Manufacturing industry

Stress load or special challenges in the position

  • Occasionally paint can become a bottle neck and extended hours are required to work to ease the situation
  • Applicant will need to be a minimum of 1.75m in height due to the restrictions in the plant and the height of the conveyor
