Purpose of Role
- To powder paint semi-finished metalwork parts
Key Responsibilities
- Perform required quality checks including 1st piece, in process and final inspections.
- Load parts correctly onto line for maximum capacity / unload and palletise painted parts
- Change hanging patterns as needed
- Apply powder to parts on the conveyor line, using electrostatic paint gun
- Troubleshoot process as needed
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Powder Coating experience
- A good understanding of manufacturing and associated techniques (5S/Lean) or ability to learn quickly
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi task
- Effective time management
- Be physically fit
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work on own or as part of a team
Qualification(s)
- GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Ability to interpret technical drawings would be an advantage.
What characterises the work environment in the department
- Manufacturing industry
Stress load or special challenges in the position
- Occasionally paint can become a bottle neck and extended hours are required to work to ease the situation
- Applicant will need to be a minimum of 1.75m in height due to the restrictions in the plant and the height of the conveyor
